12月19日から22日にかけて中東を訪問し、12月19日はイスラエルにて、ツィピ・ホトヴェリ副外相（H.E. Ms. Tzipi Hotovely, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel）と会談を行い、二国間関係の強化、中東和平などにつき意見交換をしました。
また、ウジ・ラビ・テルアビブ大学モシェダヤン・センター教授（Dr.Uzi Rabi, Professor, Director of the Moshe Dayan Center for Middle Eastern and African Studies at Tel Aviv University）との昼食会、そして、Elegant Monkeys社（デジ タルヘルス企業）の視察等を行いました。
